Haven't played a fighting game in a very long time but I've been extremely hyped for Tekken 7 and have been emulating Tekken 3 to death while I wait. I'm fucking terrible at fighting games but I'm still getting it.

For a Tekken game it's actually a bit scaled down in features. Content wise Tekken always had more and more each itteration but with Tekken 7 it seems they took two tekken game steps back.

The game itself looks pretty ace though, looking forward to playing in 3 days. Anyone know if Paul has a hairstyle that let's him put his hair down like it was in Tekken 4? That looked pretty good on him

It is for me. It's fun for casuals with other casuals to mash buttons and do the cool supers, but at the high-level, reactions and mindgames are at the core of every match, just like every other fighting game I guess. Figuring out how to scare the opponent into ducking, converting a low parry into a full combo, shit like that is cool. I just find SFV more boring to play and watch.

Has there ever been a notable Mokujin player? I just want to see one tournament where someone is maining Mokujin.

All it comes down to is knowing your character, knowing the system and getting some experience under your belt, but because the nature of fighting games, your knowledge of one will translate many or even all of your skills over to another one with easy.

After that, fights only come down to psychology and that's not something that can really be taught. It's just a kind of intelligence.

I have the game early and the only online I've played was joining someone's lobby, I beat a Lili player and then we got stuck in the lobby with a message saying something like "match in progress, please wait until it is concluded" so we both had to restart the game.

Hope the day one update improves this and lag on the versus screen.
