I did learn japanese because some other shit i was interested in. You have to be really motivated to stay studying this shit. Yes, its worthless and i wouldnt recommend learning at all unless you plan to consume tv, movies books, music and culture and also willing to go to japan a few times.

So yeah, if you only speak english then learn spanish, even if you dont like it its useful because its the second most spoken language in the world.
