People didn't want to buy a Wii U in its last years because Nintendo made it obvious the Switch was coming, and no one wants a dying console.
I own a Wii U so I will not get a Switch until it has at least 5 exclusives. Splatoon 2 and Odyssey look good, but I have zero interest in Arms or Fire Emblem Warriors. So I'll probably get one like next summer or spring.

I'll be there once there's a new mainline Monster Hunter/Fire Emblem. I'm interested in grabbing Pokemon when it gets on there, but by itself I can't justify chucking down £280 for the switch. Especially when I can grab a ps4 for £199 and grab Bloodborne, Yakuza, etc for the same price.

Doesn't help that I had a wii u so I've already played Mario Kart 8 and that Super Mario Odyssey isn't grabbing me in the same way 64, galaxy and 3d titles did.
