For me, the lack of a single player campaign really demonstrates how shallow Overwatch is. I don't like the animations for the reloading of the guns, the weight feels off too. I dislike Superheroes using guns mostly. I played Overwatch for about half an hour but it just was so boring and a chore to play because of the cartoonish physics and character models, etc.With the exception of one or two minor aspects of one or two costumes the designs are mostly shitty uninspired 2nd rate garbage.

It's TF2 but worse. Well worse than TF2 when TF2 was good. I feel like they should have gone more MOBA and had pick bans. Instead everyone just plays the same 6 dudes every game.

I play this game just as a time dump, nothing more. Competitively, this game is absolute trash. Anyone taking this game seriously is an absolute retard. This game is one word and one word only: cancer.

I'm hearing a lot of misdirected anger on this board. I think /v/ is being overly contrarian here. I get it, it has nice colours, panders to SJWs with Tracer and shit being a lesbian and it's accessible, but it's good fun.

I've got back into it recently and have to tip my hat at the game. 3v3 is a quality game mode when you have friends - really tense, tactical and the addition of maps like the Black forest are excellent.

Also, there are a few extra maps adding diversity to the game modes on offer and it's really good. I like the chunky feel to the guns on people like Reaper, Hanzo is fun to play and Mei is just a cool and well constructed champion.

I dunno guys, I think you're being overly harsh somewhat. I myself hate Junktwat - cancerous.

But Roadhog has been nerfed and his hooks even if they hit dont always come off as successful.

Ok let's be 100% honest here. It is a moba. It's a Mutilplayer Online Battle Arena game. It's 2 teams that go up against each other, filled with heros/classes/champions that all have Abilties and an Ultimate, and it follows a strict meta that's been established. Also there are skins for every champion/hero/class.

And no, call of duty, battlefields and any other point-and-click adventure FPS's barely take any skill and have very low barrier of entry. I have 500h in siege and only plateauing around mid-plat with a group of friends and im still learning all the time. If operation health delivers on all accounts (which i doubt) most of the problems the game has will be gone.

Only other FPS's in recent years that have kept my interest for more than 100h have been Arma 2 and 3.

I don't know what's worse, the people who shit on it even though it's obvious they've never played it or the people who defend it like a fucking autist and refuse to admit that it has flaws.

Gee, you really are struggling in the comprehension department. My point was in relation to other FPS's in general. I can perform on top-10%-level on pretty much any FPS i try. Usually it requires only average reflexes, the ability to aim and a vague understanding of map layouts. All this can be learned in a week or two in your average FPS and after that it gets really stale really quick if you have played mechanically similar games for thousands of hours in the past.

Siege does not have this problem and the learning curve extends into the hundreds of hours.

It's fun for the first while you play it, but after maybe after 30-40 hours of playing the same characters on the same maps dealing with the same bullshit it just get boring. They're not releasing enough content to continue making the game enjoyable, but instead they're releasing as little content as possible to keep people coming back with nothing more than "That skins neat and I want it so I have to play a lot during this limited time event" and then two weeks later there's another one.

Dull movement, annoying ults, characters that are anti-fun to fight. I stopped after about 150 hours when I realized I wasn't having fun and just getting frustrated.

The lack of good character interaction in game is disappointing how hard is it to write insults when all your characters are one dimensional stereotypes.

I think it's the small amount of cooldown abilities that really push it into being a moba. I fucking hate the cooldown abilities and the ultimates. It slows the game down so fucking much compared to other classic shooters like Quake or Unreal.

I don't, I think it's overrated. I mean the moba abilities and the vast amoung of Heroes in a game of 6's is pretty limiting on the gameplay itself, which isn't helped by the poor map design. Aesthetically it's nice, but design wise it's pretty bland and of course relies too much on Chokepoints. The Heroes themselves are bland two dimensional characters with nothing worth talking about for any of them except Junkrat and Roadhog since they actually HAVE some kind of colorful personality.

The worst part of it though is Blizzard's idea of Post-Release content, every single event has been a time event using loot boxes and cosmetics as their drive. Sure the cosmetics are nice, but it's cheap to have all of them be on a timer in order to force folks to buy their loot crates. The worst has to be the PvE event, since it was a gamemode that SHOULD have been incorporated into the main game itself, rather than be another event to sell loot boxes.

Yeah it's not much, but when you're starved for characters to enjoy, and most of the Hero list is just Waifu bait, getting the most out of a Mad Max version of Timon and Pumba is enough for me.

You can say all that you will about TF2 today, the characters are STILL the best, because they're actually characters.

I played the Free Weekend and it was pretty good. My question is, can i play just one hero or do i need to play others ? I played as Zenyatta the whole weekend and he's the best hero to main.

You generally can play only one hero but you will get sperged at by your teammates if the role is already taken. You can just ignore them, but they'll likely report you for griefing. The playerbase is filled with faggots who would do it.

I dislike it because it's not a very good FPS, and it's not a good team game either. The hitboxes are fucking huge and every class is easy to use, compare playing tracer to playing scout in tf2.

You can say "it doesn't need to be a good FPS, it's sort of half FPS half moba", but the game has worse team fighting than even a casual moba like HotS. Overwatch is an ok game but it's just not rewarding to play, I jump into a match every now and then but I could never take the game seriously.
