I played at medium difficulty and had no trouble what so ever. Used axes with 60 skill due to being a nord. Am I missing something or are all of you just bad at RPGs?

Nords and axes are actually good. I think the generic thing in Morrowind is to go dark elf or furry and then just try to slice the first guy you see with the dagger or the sparksword you get at the beginning and die because you had zero stamina.
