Incorrect. I'm not sure about the watchdog since I never had problems with it, but there is quite a difference between fighting amy with 40 vig and 50. I did defiled at 40 and it tore me a new asshole but now that I'm at FRCs Amy most of the time just removes 90% of my hp.

Each boss can be killed in the exact same way:

I don't think Micolash was "doing" anything in the nightmare.

If anything, he was just a host for the Wet Nurse to keep Mergo alive until it could grow and sustain itself (just like the Moon Presence).

The School of Mensis tried their hands at contacting the Great Ones. And when that failed they tried to construct their own, just as the original Byrgenwerth scholars did with Rom. But instead of something "passable" we instead got the One Reborn, which was considered a failure by all parties involved.

So Micolash hides himself away and tries to make contact with the Great Ones again, only this time it works. Queen Yharnam was chosen by Odeon as a surrogate for the next Great One, only things went wrong. The Queen couldn't sustain Mergo in the waking world, but within the dream Mergo still had a chance.

Thanks to his efforts (and eventual success) in contacting the Great Ones, Micolash was chosen to host the nightmare, kinda like a psuedo-surrogate, to keep the Wet Nurse alive and do what Queen Yharnam couldn't.

As time went on, the Wet Nurse was able to sustain Mergo on her own, with no use for Micolash any longer. Hence why he goes crazy and starts spouting off about making contact and granting eyes in his fight. It's also why the nightmare doesn't completely dissolve once he dies. He was responsible for it's creation, but by the time we show up to end it, it's already self sufficient.

No respecs are a terrible idea.

I'd be ok with a soul sucking thing like King Allant so you can respec a few points by letting yourself get grabbed, but you have to earn those levels again so changing your entire build is nearly impossible.

They should make it so it's a bit more fair to get started on different build types though. Chalice dungeons early make you overpowered on physical build's, but it's a nesisity to even do damage on an arcane build.

Well, he's actually a common choice among a more "hardcore" type of fan.

He's the only "versus beast" fight in the game that comes close to being a 1v1 between similar opponents. The rest of the beasts are just big screaming behemoths. Abhorrent asks you to fight him the way you would fight Orphan of Kos or Logarius.
