comfy game that you can 100% in about 20 - 30 hours, story isn't amazing but the meat of the game is slaying orks, looking cool slaying orks and finally getting some orks to slay other orks for you while you continue to slay orks. nice game to buy on the cheap, $20 or cheaper with the dlc is good.

I could only play about 30 minutes before the movement and combat got the better of me. It's a shame, because I wanted to like it.

Basically, it's the same combat system for all the Batman games.
The Batman games were inspired by the assassins creeds combat system.

It's designed to be fluid and allow for players to go on power trips. Hence it's designed for minimal difficulty.

The actual game play is very familiar and there is little new there, but the metagame orc stuff is really novel and quite fun to play with.
Death also feels actually punishing, albeit very very rare.

Torturing orcs is about all their is worth doing, though yeah, that's good for at least a few days worth of entertainment. They had a really good groundwork on the nemesis system, especially the way they kept track of every single mob spawned in the game world. Too bad they didn't do more with it.

That was the biggest disconnect in the game for me.
I hated how obvious of a self-insert this was.

I've 100%'d Shadow of Mordor twice. It's really fun if you enjoy games like the Arkham Series for it's similar combat or Ass Creed (similar open worldy, climb the tower shit).

I'm kinda looking forward to Shadow of War, but I'm probably only going to play it if I can pirate it. I refuse to pay for any games that use Denuvo on principle.
