No not really. These games are like VNs, once you know the story there is no real point in replaying.

Also every encounter is the same, so after you watched one playthrough you pretty much are done with the game. Well, except for DS2 since the game is vastly different each time you play. There's no scripted encounters like toxic blow darts in blighttown or arrows in anor londo/ringed city, painted guardians in anor londo. Instead of gimmicky encounters in DS2 it's just boring humanoid enemies but at least they can act differently each playthrough.

Beat the Reborn One I think is what it was. Even after going to the DLC area and getting a +5 Beast Cleaver, enemies still take 10 hits to kill. Gets really repetitive. Hit hit roll hit hit roll.

Unlike traditional games you just kill bosses in Souls, it has nothing else. A bare minimum of creeps between bosses and then you fight a boss. And another boss. And another boss.

From Hacks didn't have to develop a story, quests, characters or anything else - just make decent maps and fill them with bosses.

I mean outside the story (BB/DeS) there's no real point in playing Souls. The combat is mediocre, the story in DaS1-3 is pisspoor and purposely vague so Miyazaki could get away with not writing one, and there's not much else notable about the games. They advertise it as hard, but they don't even do what hard games of the past did (Castlevania/GnG) and are actually more lenient by letting you just lose souls when you die (that you can also just pick up) They really should have had it been permadeath.

I basically spoiled the entire game as well before playing it, and I can still safely say its worth it. If you enjoy das combat, you'll like it. Even if you already know about the ayys, the atmosphere of the game is top-notch. Experiencing Orphan of Kos is worlds different from reading about it/watching it. I would even argue that the context you've gained from knowing the plot could potentially improve the experience.

Combat has been the same since DeS and remains mediocre. Difficulty is the same as always, being no more difficult than your average game on the market just advertised as harder.
Fromsoft has 5 souls games under their belt, and only started to have a strong understand of good bosses with the 2 bosses of their last DLC of their last souls game. Midir/Gael.

So it's completely understandable that someone would play BB just for the story, because besides that and the OST it has nothing notable to offer.

I've played Bloodborne and I've got to say, originally I was quite hesitant about it because it didn't really seen like my kind of game but it was disgustingly linear, the combat was beyond basic, the game play was woefully repetitive, there's no music, no story and it's incredibly easy.

I went in blind and platinumed it 10 days.

Help, I can't seem to find a fun video game anymore. Ever since I started the Souls Series no game has even came close to holding my interest. I have 600 Hours DaS1, 1000 Hours DaS2, 500 DaS3, 600 BB, and 350 in DeS, but I can't bring myself to play them anymore, I've done everything and anything in those games (outside chalice dungeons/platinum) and I can't find any other games on the market that interest me/are fun.

I get extremely bored playing anything else and it's gotten to the point where I just stopped buying/playing games completely since I killed Gael.

When I think about video games I can only remember 2-3 that I actually liked
BB, Hollow Knight and Ghost and Goblins.

Are there any fun games out there or am I just too far gone and had too much exposure to souls-autism/depression has gotten the better of me? I want a fun game. I even tried Nioh and Nier and they both suck/are uninteresting/boring
