HD Collection is terrible.
If you want to play 2, 3 and 4 find their old PC versions as they're still very playable, 3 more so while you need a patcher for 2. 4's PC port use to be pretty bad but apparently something was done to fix it.

Avoid HD version at all costs. 2 and are 3 are probably some of the best horror games out there, if you liked those you can also try Origins and Shattered Memories.
Either go with PS2 or emulate

Dude. I love Shattered Memories, it's nothing like other games, but still feels like a SH title. And the exploration segments are so comfy. And the small changes between playthroughs are nice. And I love the mementons, they're absolutely useless collectibles, but each one looks like it has a story behind it.

Also, it was supposed to be just The Room. Some shit head executive then asked to tack on some SH related shit to it and make it a sequel that doesn't even happen in SH (you just take a glimpse at Toluka lake and also antagonist's name was once mentioned in SH2 toilet paper)

But it's still pretty good and has intense atmosphere and frankly terrifying monster design.
