Yup, I can also remember being a bit disappointed about SPM when it first came out, but I still ended up liking it after all. Sure, it felt too simplified in many ways and I really missed tinkering with badges etc., but it still felt like it had that Paper Mario soul in it.

But Sticker Star? Nothing good in it, just an empty husk that has only superficial visual similarities to the older games in the series. Easily the worst vidya betrayal ever, nothing comes even close for me.
