It's funny how people try to claim Paladins sin't a blatant OW ripoff. I like it, but it's blatant.

Not sure how true it is, but I've heard that HiRez had been working on Paladins since before OverWatch was truly it's own thing. So some of the character designs could actually be more "stolen" from Blizzard. Again, not sure how true it is.

Also, think of all the power armor suit designs are in games. It's pretty difficult to really get different when you have "cool looking helmet and mechanized armor power suit". You can't just copyright an idea.

As much as Reinhart might be like someone from Paladins (or viseversa) you can't sue unless it is an absolute direct rip.

For those unfamiliar, Paladins functions almost identically to OW in that it's team/objective based 6v6 shooter, where Paladins and Overwatch differ is that for each ability a character has (for outside of example, Sol 76's rockets, dash and healing field) you can customize that ability with a deck of cards, and then boost each card with points to form a specific strategy/playstyle.

FOR EXAMPLE, reduced cooldown on skills, healing kills (which can be scaled up) shorter reload on weapons, enhanced pushback, etc... Etc....

So again, it functions almost identically to overwatch, but it's free and you can customize your playstyle fairly deeply from the get go.

They can't sue them, since none of the assets are ripped directly from any other game.
Similarities or even direct copies are always going to be fine as long as the design is different.
Plus, Paladins's gameplay is actually a lot more different, much more MOBA esque, while Overwatch's is more resembelant to TF2... They wouldn't win the court in that case.

However, they could have sued that shitty mobile overwatch clone that LITERALLY used the same model of Widowmaker in it, but since it's made in China, they cant do shit. Unfortunately.

This game has three major problems:

1. The game is full of bugs and glitches and runs on shitty servers that break half the time.

2. They're very, very slowly turning it into a tedious grindfest to avoid bad press. New players get fucked even harder with every update.

3. It has the worst balance I've ever seen in a competitive fps game.

I imagine at some point they'll fix one of these but never all three. Overwatch for all of the issues it has is a better game.

Paladins is meh because LowRez Studios doesn't know how to maintain games. Not to mention that with each update, at least a dozen bugs are introduced and are not. fixed until 2-3 patches later. At one point it was fun, and was at a point where you can arguably call it good, but it's basically exists for the 3rd World at this point.

Been playing this game for a while now and i have concluded that most heroes are easy as fk and imbalanced,the spray is retarded at times too.

Most of the heroes i can call annoying as fk for a reason or another BUT its still extremely fun for some reason and i will keep playing it,like all net rng team based games its plagued with cancer players but thats not something about the game,id commend it to anyone assuming they oblige with what was previously said
