Haru is great but she loses a lot of points for being so poorly implemented in the game. Judging by initial character sketches and her expression in the opening it seems like her character was changed. Probably simplified for lack of time. Her proper introduction is sloppily jammed together with Morgana's brief angsty phase and she doesn't really have much of an arc. Compare this with a character like Makoto or Futaba who have a lot more focus put on them both before and after their awakening, drawing attention to how their ideals and personalities change.

Hopefully in Crimson or whatever the rerelease is called she'll be properly implemented. I still like her romance, it's one of the better ones for sure.

Excluding the Twins who are just a poor excuse for a Confidant just like Margaret and the Fox were in 4, Ann's was the worst. I would have liked it better if it were about visiting Shiho or if she focused one being an actress or something. As it is, it feels a little all over the place. Makoto's could have used a little bit more downtime, but I still liked it, though I'm biased. Shinya is underrated, I really liked his Confidant.

If you don't max out their confidant, they obey Igor when he tells them to execute you, you fight and beat them. Fake Igor reveals himself and then strikes the deal that results in the neutral ending.

If you max out their bond, they refuse to fight because of their bond to you and then fuse into Lavenza, revealing the actual Igor and unlock the path to the true ending.

I worded wrong the part about her being forced upon you. I don't mean over Joker as a love interest, but over the story itself, which goes together with the whole bike thing. It seems like they tried their hardest to make people like her on top of everyone else, or to make her absolute relevant to the plot, to the point where her word can mean more than the main character's at times.

Considering the twins as a social link is like counting Goro's, Igor's, etc. You just talk to them for 5 seconds and out of the way. And as for Ann's, it's at worst slightly better, as Ann doesn't remain like a robot even when you agree to go out with her. Both girls had pretty much the opposite effect on me. Makoto went from pretty high to bottom barrel as the game went on, while Ann went from shit to pretty ok.

As for the aikido, its biggest offense is that it's her fighting style, and yet in battle she just throws dull punches. I'm sure we'll see it in the inevitable mayonaka arena version, but it was brought up in the game just to show she can do everything except for having a normal conversation with someone her age, which is strange considering she got her role as the student council president, and stupid, considering there are already two other tactless characters like Futaba and Hifumi.

I disagree. I don't think the fact that they gave her an interesting Persona should be considered a negative because it feels like they're putting too much effort into her and aside from that, each girls has their own appeal. I don't know how you can say they try too hard with her and then also say she has one of the worst Confidants in the game. They gave Mika a portrait and not Eiko, which would indicate to me they put more effort into Ann's Confidant than Makoto's, but each girl feels like they have effort put in, except Haru, but I think most can agree that she's poorly placed in the story.

I disagree, but I think that the fact that you can view them that way just goes to how bad they are. Ann's just feels static and boring and I really don't know what they were going for with it.
