It's a great JRPG, and severely underrated.

It was an Xbox exclusive for the same reason several other early 7th gen JRPGs were Xbox exclusives; because it came out at that time when the 360 was selling like hotcakes and the FIVE HUNDRED AND NINETY NINE US DOLLARS PS3 was dead in the water.

And its a shame.
Only a niche of players care about jrpgs on xbox. the console sells mostly for dudebros who play madden, fifa and cod.

it was a gamble from Microsoft to finally take a share on japan's market.
they had some really ncie excl. on the 360, ahich failed just because japs don't care bout the console.

Guilty gear 2 could have been a great success if it was for ps3, mark my words.
i would have killed for a GG2: Interlude with playable Dizzy.
Xrd is fine and I love it, but in the end is just a XX rehash with 3d graphics and shittier design.

I just don't have the patience to play a long RPG at the moment. As soon as I get the energy to do so I'll probably check it out.

M$ tried to get the jrpg crowd by funding and getting exclusive jrpgs for the system. Its also part of the reason ps3 didn't get vesperia over here.

LO was fun but too easy. Never died unless I tried.

I've been playing it today. Just finished the Black Cave.

Played through the game 5 times, got every achievement, including the dlc achievements. Love the game, wish MS cared about it enough to give us another one, blue dragon as well, also played that 9 times got all achievements.

I don't give a fuck that these games don't sell on Xbox. Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon are some of my two favorite jrpgs. Microsoft needs to keep dumping loads of money on jap devs so we get more masterpieces.
And I don't even care that both games are stuck on Xbox consoles. If that's what's required for them to exist, I'll buy a bone no problem
