Yeah Bahamut was a bitch to fight. When I fought him for the first time I didn't have the Axe and I was wondering how the fuck I am supposed to deal enough damage. Even tried the Flare Gun but ran out of ammo.

Or, why are the first half of this games bosses so bad?

The first boss only has one attack, the second boss only has two or so, the third boss is a fucking minecart racer that gets faster and faster but he only has two attacks, and the fourth boss, despite having one of the best gameplay mechanics in the entire game, only has 3 attacks.

Meanwhile, Viy has two attacks while you have to manage climbing up and keeping his tendrils down, Baphomet has 7 attacks and two phases while she teleports around and summons minions, Palenque has 5 attacks and several obsticals as well as being a shmup, Tiamat has three phases and a total of 8 or so attacks, and the final boss has five fucking phases each with a ton of different attacks, the final phase having over 10 attacks alone.

Why did the first few bosses get so heavily shafted?

I think the second half of the bosses is meant to represent the fact that you're getting into "the real shit" of the game with the backsides and what not. The first 4 bosses are fairly self-contained in their areas and don't require you to access any backside areas if I recall correctly.

But yeah as for why the attack patterns of the first bosses are so easy, no real idea.

It's very very hard and thus very satisfying when you make progress. You will need to take notes and pay attention to absolutely everything.

I haven't even played Hollow Knight but I guarantee you the hardest sections of that game are nothing compared to LM.

Anyway, the games are pretty different. Hollow Knight much more action focused while La-Mulana is much more puzzle focused. Don't play LM if you're not ready for some cryptic bullshit and a lot of not knowing where the fuck to go.

La-mulana isnt a metroidvania because the map is inconsistent and doesnt connect to eachother at all as well as the fact only 10% of the items are movement upgrades/weapons that open up previously closed off areas.

Well I guess you're right but I wouldn't call that "inconsistent". It's not like the game was aiming to do that. But yeah it's not much of a metroidvania. I pretty much view it as a puzzle game with platformer mechanics.

Knife is useful for things in speedrunning and hard mode until you get the gauntlet

Axe is useful all around

Knife Sword is literally useless

Katana is literally useless unless youre trying to fight Palenque without using subweapons then it becomes the most useful weapon

I always thought of taking a screenshot of every single entry of the beastiary, but never got around to it.

Also, spoilers that i forgot to put on, these are all the portraits for the NPCs, like instead of the little sprites when you enter a shop, now we get something like that.

Game doesn't respect players enough to tell you that if you die, regardless if you saved or not, you're fucked. If you die you lose the special flower that gets you to the next level without any visual indication and you have to backtrack all the way to where you found the flower for each "area"

Its where you go from Death Seal room to Map room
Saves about 14 seconds, and you never have to "Awaken the Twins"

That part was one of the worst design flaws the remake has

I managed to get like 5 boss fights, but after that time stop enemy and all those areas i couldnt find what to do.
