Kingdom Hearts is, at the end of the day, the Universe's heart. It fucked off after the Keyblade War and hasn't been seen since, though 3 artificial ones have been created that channel its power in some form.

In KH1, Maleficent under the guidance of Ansem collects the hearts of Worlds, which coalesce into a great Door to Darkness. The door itself is formed out of these many hearts, and upon being sealed by Sora and Mickey the Hearts of Worlds were free to reform into their respective worlds.

In KH2, Xemnas and the Organization manipulate Roxas and then Sora into collecting countless Hearts of Man. These Hearts are collected and eventually coalesce into the great Kingdom Hearts seen in The World That Never Was. This moon was to be a great wellspring of power from which the members of the Organization could be filled with endless dark Xehanortine power. But Ansem the Wise blew a giant hole in it, causing these Hearts of Man to rain down and become Heartless once more.

In BBS, Xehanort calls forth another moon-like Kingdom Hearts, born from the millions of Hearts of Man who had lost their lives in the Keyblade War. This Kingdom Hearts, much like the others, served as an analogue for the True Kingdom Hearts. In short, by fighting for the Light within Kingdom Hearts, the warriors of the Keyblade War themselves created Kingdom Hearts.

Yea. Think of hearts as kind of being like the soul, but they also contain memories and knowledge too. So the "heart" in KH games is like a mind and soul combination. Ventus got into Sora twice.

First, after Xehanort split his heart in half to create Vanitas, which basically caused his light half to start to crumble away. Xehanort thought he was going to die, so he brought Ventus to the Destiny Islands where he kinda-sorta fused with Sora's heart for a bit to fix his own.

Well, I don't see what's wrong with that. Nobody ever TRULY dies in Kingdom Hearts, I believe Nomura has said as much himself. Even if they did not exist to begin with, having been around individuals with hearts or being placed into situations which have given them hearts has probably given them enough of a "self" that there's something that could be traced to bring them back.

Like, Sora didn't recover all of Roxas's memories when he was recompleted, but Lea recovered all of Axel's memories. This suggests that due to Sora's body still housing Ven's heart, a new individual was created, with a new and unique existence. So if nobody ever truly "dies" in Kingdom Hearts, why would it be any different for Roxas? Even if Xion was just an amalgamation of Sora's memories, she eventually achieved a sense of "self" as well.

You're thinking about the exceptions as if they were the rule. Nobodies in general are pretty rare. This is what happens with the whole deal:

There isn't an unimportant game in the series in terms of storyline. Even X Backcover is going to tie into Kingdom Hearts 3 and form the basis for the majority of its storyline from what we can tell.

Coded and 356/2 Days are the least important, but Days fills in a lot of the gaps in KH2.

It was her contingency plan should she be defeated. Supposedly she wasn't revived sooner because Diablo was stuck locked in a cage in Hollow Bastion till Xemnas had Roxas and Axel release him in one of the novels. After his release, Diablo had to wait for everyone's memories to be restored, at which point he triggered the revival.

Why Xemnas wanted Maleficent revived is the real question. My best guess is that the Heartless' numbers were beginning to wane and he needed someone who could organize them and create more (something she was entirely unaware of).

From what I have heard, if you watched the X back cover movie.
You are part of some keyblade wielder guild, that needs to collect light.
The keyblade war actually consisted of all the players OCs so theoretically your OC's keyblade is somewhere on the keyblade graveyard.
Also there were a special guild of exceptional keyblade called dandelions that were ordered to just fuck off and run away as far as possible from the war.
They are the children spoken in Kairi's grandmother's story who's light made the current worlds like we know them.
Ven was one of those children if I heard correctly.
