Rockface Rumble comes to mind. That part with the guitar solo always reminded me of Killer Instinct.

Rockface Rumble is amazing, Water World as well. Quite a few good tracks on it. I like it more than the GBA version.

the OST isn't as memorable as DKC 2 one but there is some great atmosphere to it and the themes fir their levels perfectly which is the most important thing for a Game Soundtrack

That's the whole game's essential problem, not just music. I can vividly remember every world and boss of the first two games, but everything about 3 - worlds, stages, bosses, songs - slips out of my mind like sand in a sieve.
