What are some games that
>are pvp
>are 1v1
>are fun
>still have players
Genres that come to mind are fightan games and RTS but I'm quite uninitiated in them.
Also hearthstone I guess, I am checking out their general on /vg/ atm.
Any more recs?

Don't bother. Play Gwent or Shadowverse instead.

I'll put it on my watchlist

Should I be concerned about reviews saying it is the antithesis to Hearthstone's RNG in a bad way.

Take the reviews with a grain of salt. We recently had 1.5 months of pretty unbalanced meta that left many people salty. Last week's nerfs made the game much more bearable and there is a new expansion coming at the end of next month. It is a very similar game to Hearthstone, but I personally think it's better in almost every aspect.

I've been playing Go for more than a decade, anon.
ARMS is fun but I'm assuming you want PC games.

I'm just trying to pick a bone out of an egg.
Do you play online? I know the rules but fuck me if I actually know how to win a game.
>>378222976
Yea I guess, I'll check it out as well

Pokemon's PvP is often done through simulators and Third Strike is usually played through Fightcade, which is PC-only service/emulator.
ARMS looks dope

Thanks. The more you know

Avoid Hearthstone. The power creep in it is unreal, it's way too late to get into it unless you're willing to spend a lot on packs.
>>378218271
There's no dedicated servers btw
