It worked for 10 minutes and now it's giving me a connection error as soon as I select a character. It's not the connection test error I usually got either

Look at the command prompt where you ran the proxy. Every time you go into Party Match you should see at least one line that has http://conntest.nintendowifi.net/ in it. If you don't, do this:
- Turn off the proxy by pressing ctrl+c repeatedly until you get back to the prompt
- Restart the Switch, open testpunch
- Turn the proxy back on and enter Party Match

It should now work again.

1. Download and install node.js, this shouldn't need explaining
2. Open command prompt (press windows+R, type cmd)
3. Type: npm install crapify -g
4. Type: crapify start --port=8888 --speed=1--concurrency=999999
5. You should now see a line that says "proxy serving"
6. Type: ipconfig
7. Find your local IP address, it should usually be 192.168.0.<something>
8. Go to internet settings on your Switch, change settings for your connection, go down to proxy, enable, enter your IP address. The port is 8888
9. Done

Remember to turn off the proxy settings when you're finished playing the testpunch, otherwise the connection on your Switch will be messed up

lol, you don't even need to set up a proxy.

just go into settings and lock in some settings under proxy. They don't even have to be correct or work.

then you can play around in the practice room for around 5 minutes or so, when the Swich gives up on trying to connect it'll take you back to the menu, then select a character and start playing again.

I still used my computer ip for server and 8888 for port, and Auto Authentication off, those are just my default proxy settings for my switch. though, i don't currently have any proxy running for it to connect to.

The proxy is running, right? Otherwise your firewall is blocking it or you didn't use the right IP address. There are multiple that can appear on ipconfig
