I have only 20 games, each one with at least 30 hours, spending up to 1200 hours at the highest end and averaging three hundred hours per game.

Frugality, bitch.

That's your problem, you haven't organised them. They are a mess.

Start putting them in categories of genre and then pick one or two from each and put them in a backlog category and play them.

That's what I'm saying. He has a small resolution and should change it so it looks like this instead of that fuckhueg type here to search. You don't even fucking need to click in the box you can just press the windows key and start typing. There's literally no reason to have it there ever.

Your right, if they are small in scale and aren't pretending to be deep rpgs. Skyrim is as wide as an ocean but the water tastes like shit and it's like a foot deep. Maybe if they focused on making fewer interesting quests rather than hundreds of boring poorly written ones and had an actual stat system rather than babbies first action game it would be fun.

I've personally been going through my 300 games and playing at a minimum 15 minutes of it. If I want to keep playing it it goes to favorites. If not, I throw it in a "Done" category. Kind of amusing seeing what trash I bought 14 humble bundles ago.

These things.... why do they happen to us? I'm in your same exact boat. All I honestly do on the PC is read articles, or just browse the web, FAP, and play League of Legends: a game I've played for 5 years and it still manages to annoy me almost every other game. All I do is play Multiplayer games if anything OR MMO's (see: WoW when I was subbed to it).

But the massive amount of great single player games I got in Steam for such a low great price: why don't I play those? Sleeping Dogs, Ass Creed Brohood, Farcry Blood Dragon, Psychonauts, Hotline Miami 2, Tomb Raider, Darksiders 1&2.

Why does this happen?

I truly think that it's because I've always grown up being a console guy since about 5-6 years ago. Yes, I have my PC hooked up to my TV via HDMI, and I have a wired X360 controller and can play on the couch, but there's just something missing. Like, the feeling of popping open a physical box and taking the disc and putting it in the console. I dunno.

Video games.
>>
>>378200465
Your body adjusts to changes in your environment, and your brain is no exception to that.

The first time you play video games, you enjoy them greatly.

The second time you play video games, you've built up a little resistance to the feeling of satisfaction, but it's still good.

The third time around, you've built up even more resistance.

Repeat enough times and you've developed a resistance to the rush of fun in video games.

The only cure is balancing vidya with other hobbies, or quitting vidya for a while. Burnout is just part of being a person, it's your body's way of telling you to try new experiences.
>>
>>378200465
sleeping dogs had bad fighting and shitty story.

everything else was cool though.
>>
>>378198729
Fuck off Todd
>>
A french video game magazine once studied the thing.

The reason why it happens is because you have too much choice.

One of their solution was to take a break, catch up with tv shows you haven't seen, watch some movies, do something different for a couple of weeks and then, try a video game style you never tried before and stick to it.
>>
>>378200927
Nope, you're just a faggot that can't enjoy good things.
>>
>>378200670
Thanks anon. Makes sense. But there are just so many other people I KNOW IRL who always play the latest Vidya and find enjoyment in them. Maybe the other hobbies they have (watching movies/shows/anime) allows them to still find vidya exciting and new and fresh.

All I do is work, go home, play YuGiOh Duel Links (which is a game, yeah, but a grindy Multiplayer i-get-mad-at-PVP-sometimes game). Maybe I just need to stop playing PvP / multiplayers.

I'm also kinda boring sometimes with my free time. I have no other hobbies besides just browsing.

Yeah, I'm NEET right now, looking for employment but for now all I have to do is videogames. It was fun for a while, now I'm kind of sick of it and I feel like I need to get my life on track. I guess different people have different tolerance levels.
>>
>>378201098
gets thrown around here a lot but...maybe ..nah.

Tell me how do you react to a loss in pvp?

>>
>>378201309
League of Legends is just a terrible experience overall. Just constant bitching and relying on 4 other unknown teammates is just annoying especially if they don't act as a team player. You're stuck with them for 20 minutes. A massive waste of time, especially in a game where once you get a lead early it's hard to come back on.

If it's 1v1 PvP like Duel Links, well, the meta right now sucks ass and everyone uses the same few decks so I just roll my eyes once I see another of the same deck being played. I never mind losing to off meta decks because there's some creativity in them and the player was able to execute it well instead of relying on a cookie cutter deck. I never swear or anything or flip out. It's just a deep sigh really, or I express my frustrations in the /vg/ general for that game. Always feels good beating the boring meta decks tho.

At this point I am only able to play through entire single player games in short bursts.
Not really sure why, but I'll just go through moods where I can delve fucking hours nonstop into a good RPG and other times I just open a game, play for maybe twenty/thirty minutes, and repeat a few times before I just give up and go back to browsing /v/.
