Prey has really nothing going for it.
It's just another linear cinematic experience AAA game that takes you from set piece to set piece and combat mechanics are awful. It's not scary, either. Not in the slightest.

I've been on this site for way too long. Memes are starting to ignore me. The new meme that is growing and hasn't reached peak saturation yet but is getting there is "didn't play the game" Any criticism of the game is just deflected with "lol you didn't play" as if that somehow ends all discussion because somebody might see the world differently than you.

It's already hard enough to discuss games on this site, and now we can add a reminder that if you didn't like any portion of a game then you didn't play it.

I'm not that guy and I didn't like Prey. I come in here for a discussion, but I can already see any criticism I level against it will be met with "you didn't play it :^)"

I'm in agreeance with that guy. I did play Prey and it was very formulaic. Every time a new enemy was introduced, which there was very few of, it would have a stupid fucking little cutscene it forced you to watch and was annoying. This only scratches the surface of the problem with the game, but why bother typing them out so you can just reply "lol u didn't play cuz game is great xDDD"
