I played all souls games but DaS1 as the last one (stupid but hey) and I have to say that to me, Ornstein and Smough is the most BS boss battle in the whole souls/borne series, they are always stuck together, the battle takes 15/20 min if you don't use ranged attacks. It's just not fun to deal with them. Yes it requires skill to beat them, but not the kind of skill you need to beat the nameless king, Gael, or other fun bosses of the series. IMO OandS are probably the boss I had the hardest time to deal with and the least fun. I was looking forward to them because I always loved their design. Too bad.

Oh come on, it's really not that bad when you're replaying the game. Get Burgers behind a Pillar and fuck French Fries in the ass. Since the fight has basically no cheese in favor of the bosses, once you know their movesets it's really not that hard.

Once you replay the game, it's genuinely one of the easier not-comically-easy bosses in the game.

it really does punish you for being underlevelled which nearly always happens since Anor Londo doesn't reward you much for clearing it out and most just run it. It's also not a particularly big room especially with the pillars, which is in stark contrast to modern souls games where the arenas are just gigantic. Of all the bosses in the games O&S are the ones I'm the most sure that many on /v/ lie about soloing.
