The Wii U released with a godawful name, nearly 0 advertising, a console that looked too similar to its predecessor and a controller which took the spotlight of the limited marketing material.

It got some great games and built a solid library that anyone could be content with and it failed miserably.

Now let's take a look at the Switch. It's got a bunch of Wii U ports and a similar form factor, just without the base console. The key difference here is that there's a shitton of advertising material, a distinct look to the system and a completely different name.
Waddayaknow it's set to be the best selling console ever.

I'm happy to admit I'm more of a Nintendo fanboy, but now that I've got a job and money, I can afford everything and I absolutely played TLOU and Uncharted.
I actually thought Uncharted was disappointing and I had hoped it was a bit more open and I quite liked TLOU.

I've got 2 roommates both with Switches (neither one a big Nintendo fan, ironically) and my issue is on other controllers, I use my middle fingers on the ZL and ZR buttons and pointer fingers on the L and R buttons, but the Joycons are too small for me to comfortably do that.

Also the joysticks are a little stiff on the joycons. Not unusable or massively problematic, but when you use the Switch Pro controller, everything is just so perfect.

The Switch Pro controller is my favourite controller thus far. It's just so damn nice.

Nintendo's handhelds are the only thing they still get right, lots of 3rd party support, ample choice of quality games and decently priced for what it is.
