Honestly, it's not a bad idea to go on a long cleanse. Just completely separate yourself from video games for nearly an entire year and then it will feel fresh again. If after a year you still don't miss vidya, then maybe you're just not into then anymore.

There is no need for me to go on a cleanse because i barely play anything. I have only played the mgs series, bloodborne and some cs go now and then in the last 3 years.

I downloaded stalker today though because i have always thought it has looked interesting so i hope i can play that and not immediately become uninterested. I really do miss that feeling i had as a wee lad when i got a new game and obsessively played it for weeks.
