As someone who plays SMT and Persona on the regular, am I going to like this? I hate Fire Emblem, but as I understand it plays more like Persona. I'd be fine having a nice lengthy JRPG on the Wii U, I've just passed on this because everyone I know seems to hate it.

It's literally SMT with FE elements in it (weapon triangle, level system, the FE characters are the demons). You'd probably enjoy it if you treat it more like Kingdom Hearts then Project X Zone.

It's a crossover of both series aspects though.

Everyone for some reason expected it'd just be another shitty SRPG like SRW/PxZ, with all of the blank-slate main characters. But why would you want that out of Atlus anyway?

Instead, they played to their strengths and we got a good, full-fledged Megaten spinoff out of the SJ director, with loads of Fire Emblem flavor sprinkled throughout.
