Porting it will always be a disaster because you move in only 8 directions but have analog speed.
>>
i wouldnt say it was too early, it was just mario 64 for the handheld
>>
>>378066921
i like the changes it made to the original though

like having to play as yoshi first
>>
>>378067129
Face it you stupid fucking old and jaded fuck. 2004 was 13 goddamn years ago. A 5 year old in 2004 is old enough for this site.
>>
>>378067129
anon...
>>
>>378067129
Not him but anon I'm 26 and I was 5 years old when SM64 came out 13 when the DS version came out.

People born in 1999 are allowed to post here now.

>getting this mad

Fucking babbys
>>
>>378067192
I'm just saying the underlying models look good but can't run on the DS, and the game is much comfier with the circlepad. It's still one of my favorite games but it would be much better on the 3DS with a few adjustments.

>>378067129
I'm 23 and this was one of the games I played constantly as a kid

>game is only really playable with a peripheral that stopped being manufactured and didn't come with the console's more profitable revision
>everyone who talks about it acts like either the control method doesn't exist and you have to use the D-Pad or completely misunderstands it and thinks you were meant to use the stylus.
>>
>>378067581
Tired of fucking old bitches giving people shit because they are sad joyless fuckers
>>
>>378066921
Any DS game that heavily focused on online play
>>
>>378068010
Just wait, you'll be the same way to the next generation
>>
>>378067947
what peripheral is that? the weird thumb nub strap?
>>
I prefer 64DS's movement and camera in general than the original game's
>>
>>378068168
Metroid Prime Hunters was the shit
>>
>>378067827
The left ones were only designed like that because of the limitations of the N64 at the time and literally everyone being inexperienced at 3D design. Right is how they would have looked if Mario 64 was made today because they fit into the Mario universe rather than Uncanny Dinosaur and Texture Blob Spider
>>
>>378068168
Phantasy Star Zero would have been much better on the 3DS, absolutely. At least assuming Monster Hunter wouldn't have DOA'd it
>>
>>378067352
I'm going to take this opportunity to yell at a young person about something that's been bothering me.

MAKE YOUR OWN CULTURE

STOP TAKING HAND-ME-DOWNS

WHY DID YOUR GENERATION COOPT THIS CHAN INSTEAD OF MAKING YOUR OWN?
>>
>>378068230
yeah. My favorite way to play that game was using the buttons to rotate the camera and the nub to move. Made your thumb feel like it was gliding on air and feels so much better than trying to dragging your thumb over a touch screen virtual stick and offered way more precision of movement than a D-Pad.
>>

>>378067947

I miss the weird thumb nub strap. I broke mine because I was a teenage retard, and I wish I still had it today.
>>
>>378068614
You aren't that old.
>>
>>378068923
huh. I never tried that. I don't think I have one around anymore, but I'm gonna look and maybe try it if I do.
>>378068994
I honestly forgot it existed until the other guy brougth it up just now. I only used it for my pointer finger and never understood its purpose when a stylus was more precise but now I feel a bit dumb.
>>
>>378067129
The DS is over a decade old now.
