Dark souls, I loved playing adventure games like zelda when I was younger and dark souls gives me that same feeling I had when i played zelda. It's also challenging which I like.

It was an incredible breath of fresh air and the 1v1 duels made my body tingle and gave me quite a rush

I would've said Dark Souls, but at first it was just simply frustrating because it was so difficult but after playing some time and learning I started to warm up for it and then realized the glory of the game.

I fucking love Okami, it fills me with whimsical, child-like joy

The gameplay is so fast pasted. I love the feeling of running into a room filled with umps, zombie gunner, and cacodemons and then blowing their brains out with a BFG. The level design is superb. The game can be played with many source ports. There is a huge nodding community that is still making wonderful mods for Doom today. The music is top notch and really gets you in to mood. Finally it is super fun to play it with a friend or two.

Xenoblade Chronicles is the only game in a real long time that really drew me in, what an amazing experience. Stellar music, characters, gameplay. It might not be for everyone but fuck, I adore it.
I don't ever really replay it only because it's so long, but my memories of playing through XB are some of my fondest memories in gaming, period

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky is a close second, as is Fire Emblem Awakening even though I realize the latter has a ton of issues, I still love it.

Mother 3 always reminds me why I love videogames.

Over the years I've becomemore critical of its flaws. It has pacing issues, the egg of light subplot is dropped for no reason, and it is pretty easy, but fuck if it isn't brilliant. It's just such a phenomenal game that all flaws considered I still consider it my favorite game ever made.
