The AI in the SuperStorm mod doesn't even try to hide the cheating, just spawns units out of thin air without the necessary buildings, researches or time. The harder AIs can spawn so many units that their own bases get clogged in a matter of seconds. It's stated to be because of the limitations of the scripting language though. The vanilla AI doesn't cheat much and is easily exploited because of that, just cut off their sources of money and they're done for
>>
>>378054881
I remember playing burnout 2 for so long, driving with permanent boost in the wrong lane narrowly missing cars to keep my boost going. the AI cars would just creep past me as I went max speed, I would shunt them into a wall or another car and theyd crash and wipe out and 10 seconds later just creep past me again as I went max possible speed. If I ever crashed they would end up so far ahead that I could never pass them again.

Still fun though, the only way to win is to never make any mistakes the whole race. Sometimes they'd be like 25 minutes long.

The trick I found that works in 90% of racing games is to drive shitty for about 85% of the race (the % varies from title to title, track to track) until about the last half of the last lap then go all out like Andretti. Easiest/cheapest win. I makes most racing games absolutely stupid. I haven't played a racing game in almost two decades because of rubber banding.

The Crew is weird as hell. The AI doesn't really rubberband that much, you can easily dust them and gaining several minutes of lead during the longer races is very possible even with a level-equivalent car, let alone those late game story missions with 200+ levels of advantage. But then you get a race where you have to drive on the snow and the AI just fucking pillages your ass by pulling magical traction out of nowhere, they zip around with dry-weather racing slicks like it's a fucking pristine F1 circuit while you're stuck wheelspinning all the time with cornering speeds on par with your 80 year old grandma whose doctor was considering taking her driver's license away.

You can also confuse it by digging a trench to cut off your own base. Then you can build a tunnel under theirs and bring in some earthquake generators.
I did that once in a 1 vs 13 skirmish against the AI.

It's one thing for the AI to cheat.
It's another when they make the rules clearly visible and then make the AI cheat.

I guess it's not too surprising that great strides in AI haven't been made when it takes a supercomputer trained for thousands of matches in order to beat the best human Go player, a game which probably ends up having a smaller probability space than most RTS games

The very first Civilization.
The only Civ I haven't met yet were the Americans who seemed to have spawned on a different continent. I'm the unquestioned king of mine, happily smacking everyone around with my industrial era troops. Suddenly an American ship appears, tanks roll out and I'm getting shat on.
Reloaded a save made 10 or 20 turns ago, sailed west to discover Murrica. Lo and behold, they're iron age primitives.

Neither of those are really cheating though.
Shaggy mines are clearly telegraphed and easy to dodge as well as Los just using his natural abilities to his advantage.
Just like chucking flash bombs is in your favor.

They don't break any rules or concepts the game puts forward beforehand.

I dropped White Knight Chronicles when I realized that the enemy can move out of range during your attack animation and won't get hit, but once an enemy has initiated their attack you'll get hit regardless of how far away you are. Cheating or not, fuck that shit, not dealing.
>>
>>378060558
it's not that the mines are undodgeable, but that they get annoying really fucking fast, and some times you have to choose between evading the mine or shaggy, since some of them appear centered at your feet as well

Mate you have no reason to complain about Civ5's AI until you start playing Diety or Immortal. Civ's AI does blatantly cheat though I'll give you that but you need to expand more and faster, build more military units. The Civ5 AI will never attack you if you have more units than them.

You can defeat their entire army with 1 well placed archer but if they detect that you have 1 unit and they have 10 they'll think that you don't stand a chance without taking into account the fact that they just suicided 200 units into you.
