>sells incredibly well
>release underdeveloped garbage with DENUVO
>gets cracked

?
The vast majority of TW3 sales came from the consoles, a platform with DRM far worse than Denuvo.

Sold 3 million on steam alone.
>>378044220
Yeah Id put the official numbers on PC around 5 to 6 million depending on how many people went directly through GOG which I know people were doing pre-launch to support CDPR.
>>378044220
CDPR stated that not only did most of the sales come from the consoles but that the game wouldn't even exist without the consoles.
>>378043624
DRM like putting the Disk in, Play it then be able to sell it for like 20% less than what you bought it for at most?
>>378045984
>CDPR stated that not only did most of the sales come from the consoles but that the game wouldn't even exist without the consoles.
Yes, and? Retard.
>>378045984
on PC they still managed to grab a few millions compared to other shit that is releasing with Denuvo today. And even now people are buying W3 on sales on STEAM/GoG, so this shit sells well on PC.
>>378043421
Good games tend to be successful, bad games not so much. It's that simple.
DRM has almost nothing to do with it.

Steam is DRM too
>>378046235
So the idea that DRM is a sales killer when you see the highest sales on the platform that is the most locked down and DRM infested mean it's probably a fucking retarded idea.

Bethesda's games are fucking trash.
Fooled me once with Fallout 3.
Fooled me twice with Fallout 4.
At least I didn't pay for shit tier DLCs.
>releases one of the most anticipated games ever after receiving nothing but 9/10's and 10/10's

no shit idiot

>release ok game with DENUVO
>sells incredibly well
>release a free demo
>sells like gangbusters
>gets cracked
>only gets a tiny boost in sales despite only being $30 at the time
People just want to try the game for free, and legitimate methods like demos are much better at this. People should be pushing for their return to the industry instead of trying to remove DENUVO. It's going to get cracked anyway, and anyone who buys a DENUVO game is already getting fucked in the ass by shitty DRM clients like Steam or Origin.
>>378046650
STEAM is not DRM, you idiot.
>>378047749
Yes it is
>>378043421
DRM has nothing to do with the quality of the game.
The Witcher 3 would have sold just as well on PC with DRM because it is a great game.
Good Games = High Sales
Bad Games = Low Sales
Is that easy enough for you pea brain to understand?
>>378047749
Of course it fucking is, you idiot.
You do know that Valve offers the ability to lock a game to an account, right? It encrypts the game executable so it can only be run by Steam when a user with the appropriate access is logged in. It's only the fact that almost nobody wants to give Valve exclusive distribution rights that prevents every game from having this.
Here, it's all at the top of this link.
