The stance enders are required anyways because one is a damage buff, one is a haste buff, and one is the highest damage you put up after. Iai System
The Iai system is similar to the current warriors wrath/abandon stacks Samurai has 3 single target combo finishers, each granting a type of “sen”
The iai skill is a casted weapon skill that changes based on how many “sen” you have currently, as displayed on the gauge. It shares the GCD with other weapon skills.
The same Sen cannot be stacked, meaning you shouldn’t do the same combo twice before using an iai skill.
Iai cannot be used when there is no sen available.
Sen does not seem to have a timer, it is unknown if you can keep you sen when entering dungeons/raids, but you should be able to keep them going between enemies on the same zone.
There are 3 iai skills
1 Sen -Name unknown, most likely a single target attack
2 Sen - Tenkagoken (TKGK) - 360 potency AOE cone, with 10% damage fall off
3 Sen - Midare Setsugekka (MSGK)- 720 potency single target attack
The order in which you obtain the Sen does not seem to matter. For TKGK, it seems any combination of 2 Sen would suffice.

It's not like hypercharge is 2x better than trick attack in terms of raid damage increase either, so if monks et al get in on that too, now there are more dps jobs with raid cooldowns than there are dps slots. Unless mch/brd cooldowns are massively bigger buffs than the others or something, there's no reason you wouldn't just bring the dps job with the highest baseline dps.

That's pretty clearly what they intend with their mentioned changes to synergies and role-shared skills.

The thing is though that XIV is already very balanced and everything is easily clearable with any composition as long as it meets the correct role ratio. But progression raiding breeds autism and people will look for any advantage they can get, no matter how miniscule. Even if it turns out that the biggest difference between any two comps in stormblood is finishing the fight 1 second faster, raiders will still demand the "meta" comp, just for that 1 second.

Creator was made too easy in all respects as a desperation move to resurrect the dead raiding scene since there were enormous skill differentials between Gordias/Midas veterans and everyone else. AST was also given massive, temporary buffs to brute force them into relevance for one tier before their expansion was over.
