It's pretty much just preference. Advantage of gamepad is that you can smoothly give input should the game allow it, whereas keyboard can just give on or off input. In RoR you can't control how fast you move, so you don't really gain anything by using controller.

Try both and see what you like most.

- You have the option of challenging the final level, or starting through another cycle with all of your shit. It's sort of infinite, but you'll begin to see repeating level layouts with minor differences.
- Three difficulty settings. Difficulty scales depending on how long you take, so if you linger in one level for too long you'll eventually get overwhelmed.
- I mean, that's sort of personal opinion. I find it fun to see how completely overpowered I can get in single player, which is just something I can't do in multiplayer.

No problem, as for my own personal tips:

get a 100% save right off the bat, you don't miss anything if you do

play with the artifacts we do in singleplayer, but change the dificulty to eady/normal. Normal mode and the mode we play is extremely different.

Explosive balls that launch from enenies will inly explode on the third contact with a surface, and have next to no vertical hitbox. if you're on a rope, you're practically immune to them

always rush for the teleporter and activate it, do not try to grind for levels/items

experiment with characters and see which one fits your playstyle the best

and most importantly, no infusion
