Jill starts with the Pistol while Chris only has a knife.
Jill has the Grenade Launcher while Chris only has the flame thrower.
Jill can play piano for the puzzle while Chris has to do shit while Rebecca learns the song.
Jill has Barry to get her out of death trap, Chris doesn't.
Jill knows Chemistry and can one shot the plant boss while Chris can only fight it.
Jill has the lock picks while Chris has to find ancient keys to open old doors.
Jill has two extra inventory slots as an upgrade while Chris doesn't.

Chris's Flamethrower can only be use in a specific area over the fact its a much inferior weapon to the Grenade Launcher. He also gets the assault shotgun much later in the game. But he does have more HP, less recoils from weapons and runs faster. He also permanently has the lighter on his person, but still has to carry the gasoline on his already limited inventory.

Jill also has Barry's assistance in certain boss fights depending on the player's run.
