At the beginning, just got Nel. Second time playing since I was maybe 13 and didn't get to finish because the second disc was scratched and wouldn't load past exiting 4D space.
Nel dies as fast as she can and she's pissing me off. I've been dumping all her stat ups into HP and defence.

I don't remember ever having a problem with the AI. Can't you switch between chars midbattle too? Thats how i played through it all those years ago. I bought it on ps4, but i wont start it till I finish persona 5 and tales of hearts r.

Things you upgrade in their status menu using SP can increae HP, MP, attack and defense stats.

The beginning of the game is tough. You're limited on money, everything hurts, items are few, and enemies come in bunches of 4 or 5 with thousands of HP sometimes.

focus on getting hammer of might for kliff forgot which level he learns it, set it to a circle buttons so it cannot be blocked and wipe out mobs pretty good early game.
