Why does this game want permission to make and manage phone calls?

It's skullgirls but with a quarter of the resolution and an eight of the animation frames and you can only play against the cpu and basically the game plays itself because you don't have much control over what your characters actually DO because the winning gameplan is to switch to the character with the correct element and then randomly mash on the screen and if all of that wasn't shitty enough yet, there is a frankly despicable amount of microtransaction bullshit on top of all of it where the only thing you really *do* in the end is grind for different ingame currencies and get lootboxes and basically are pressured to pay money for more

I like Skullgirls, I really really do, I spent a thousand hours on the PC game, but this terrible abomination, it's one of the shittier mobile games I've seen period and while I know the entirety of production was outsourced, even only the fact that LabZero gave their thumbs up for this is disgusting. Seriously sickens me. People still consider them the cool indie guys but here we are, they just released fucking clash of clans with Skullgirls characters.

Been playing it in beta.

The most recent update flipped everything and obtaining anything got significantly harder. So I'm likely to drop it soon.

It's kinda nice to have as a fan of SG but it's not particularly fun and I experience bugs and crashes regularly.
Some of the dizzy/stun animations are neat but that's all I've seen that's new and to assume that this will be popular enough to be able to generate 'new' characters is frankly laughable.
