Am I the only person who thinks 5 is better than 4? Co-op on 5 was actually fun, and I liked the arcade-y level selection instead of the game being in one big chunk. The environments are more varied too, all I remember from 4 is "outside", and "castle type area".

Lol no, in fact they're pretty fuckin awful characters in that game. I don't necessarily think it's "good" compared to the rest of the franchise either. I still count it as an RE game because imo, it's still very saturated in the kookiness that makes the series great. RE7 sacrificed originality to conform to horror game trends that are popular right now. It might be an alright game on its own, but it really did not tickle my Resident Evil fancy.

On topic: REmake was my first, too. I played RE7 after since I was told it's pretty much stand-alone (it is). I'm playing RE0 next, and am waiting for REmake 2 release and RE4 HD project completion before I play those 2. RE3 and Code Veronica seem to be the only issue. Either I wait for the inevitable remakes or just play them as they are.
