I daydreamed today that though this is going to be garbage through association alone, the commercial for this will at least lampshade the crossover. It was essentially Mario handing Bowser his ass like Samus would before the full cast of the Mario universe appear on their respective faction side with triumphant music which record scratches when everyone is suddenly ambushed by Rabbids in slow-mo while everyone wears a "for fuck sake" expression.

Then I realized this could have been a Mario & Rayman crossover instead and I got a little sad.

Nintendo's handed off IPs to devs with 0 good games, like Arzest or NLG and people forget about it and move on. Another Mario spinoff (crummy or not) isn't going to spell the end of the franchise.
