GTX 1070 not bad. i7-7700 freakin' terrible. Might as well have gone for Ryzen. The only worthwhile Intel CPUs are the unlocked K versions.

Nier A can be played on a cpu from anywhere in the last 4 years with a decent gpu
As for other stylish/action games you won't have to worry about PS2 emulation with a mediocre cpu, 99.9% of fighters run flawlessly on potatoes, Devil May Cry games run at 200fps on shit rigs, because engine magic that capcom won't release.

only the Ks are overclockable, but from what I've heard the 7700k has a serious overheating problem when you overclock it anyway. Plus overclocking isn't really necessary anyway. it's more something you do for fun if you really want to push performance.

Honestly with emulation, there's a fuck ton of games available on PC and older systems are easy to get going, that was just a list of some my recent favorites and some stuff I still play yearly or often.
I'm really into action games overall, but shit like Rabi-Ribi is fun also to pick up for speedrunning or just dashing around with the upgrades.

I second Lovely Planet. There's also a sequel called Lovely Planet Arcade but from what I've seen the gameplay doesn't look as good (I think it's hitscan now). But I could be wrong.
