It was actually really good. Nintendo fucked it up. This wasn't for anybody but the most autistic, but this new episode was better than we deserved.

Rough Timeline:

>Alvin gets the urge to remake SMBZ again
>Starts off strong with a remade ep. 1
>Fans love it, patreon explodes
>Alvin is popular again, loses a lot of weight, gains major confidence boost
>Nintendo shuts it down
>Loses almost all patron money
>Alvin falls into literal depression, possibly suicidal
>Gains all lost weight back
>Now currently over 30 with no gf, no plans on what to do now that his only ticket to fame is gone, trapped in a depression spiral

If he keeps this up, he'll be following in Monty's footsteps.

Pateron is a fucking cancer, it's like having your fans agree to being investors except they have no say over your work and the artist is completely allowed to lie to them and betray expectations. As much as I liked SMBZ, I felt Alvin Earthworm was asking for it for when he went on Patreon and tied early access to the next episodes to donation tiers. If there's one thing that sticks in Nintendo's craw hard, it's the mere idea that someone might be making some bucks off of their work without their permission.

Making money off it wasn't what set Nintendo on his trail. Last year, Pokemon Prism was C&D at the end of it's development. Nintendo protects it's IPs and their stubborness is shown through their copyright and YouTube monetization policies.
