The writer can make a character as strong as they want to.
A loli vampire with infinite powers? Cool. There's a shota cat who can kill anyone or anything with a universal remote. There's a sailor man who can jump the fourth wall and meet his own writer. There's a redhead little girl who can lift a horse and a boat at the a same time. So what?
These characters live in different existences and therefor exhibit separate limits. The kid from Scribblenauts could write you out of existence. But if you take a character out of their existence and place them into another, obviously they will be defeated by the MC of the current universe.
TL;DR, keep jerking off to Goku vs. Superman and Mario vs. Sonic despite knowing how retarded it is.
