What? I don't play grand strategy, but part of that genre (from what I've read) is making your own stories and empires. If the developer said "hey, you can only fight communists in this game" I'm sure people would be mad.

At first, I was like "whatever, it's not even pretending to be a historical game, nothing in it is realistic, it's published by EA, of course they will bastardize history if it brings in money, the only reason this exists is because they covered every other modern war scenario in the sun already".

also the addition of black people into the game was a shameless attempt at getting black people to play the game, it has nothing to do with Swedes trying to subvert history or whatever, they got the idea that American blacks were an untapped market and just went full throttle on it. That's why all the allies in the Operations screen are black guys, but the DLC Operations are all white guys.

It's really a stretch to believe rich companies that revolve entirely around profit will go out of their way for some sort of social justice cause. They just follow the money. If money is in social justice, they'll invest in that. In this case though, I'm pretty sure they just targeted niggers as a potential audience and figured it won't hurt sales with white kids since they'll play regardless. A /pol/fag or two refusing to play the game won't break the profits.

The difference between having SMGs in WW1 and having transniggers of color in WW1 is that the SMGs serve to enhance the gameplay, while the niggers and women only serve to pander to minorities who either didn't fight, or made up .01% of the total forces. The real issue however is that France and Russia are DLCs instead of base game in a WW1 game, but what can you expect from EA.

It's a matter of perspective.

You come from the perspective of "you can create a game containing fantasy elements if it still respects the core tenets of the source material (in this case, fucking history)".

The developers perspective is that fantasy elements take center stage and that there are no core tenets in the source material and it can be bent out of shape as much as necessary to serve their goals. Their idea of "world war 1" is a certain aesthetic - trench warfare, the look and feel of antiquated weaponry, etc. Historical facts don't come into the equation at all. You could fucking put Alf in there, but the only reason that's not happening is that Alf doesn't move units.
