I have a process with cooking race and class. If there is a race of giant, bulky dudes, I will always pick them, and I'd there isn't, I pick human usually, cause I like the idea of normal humans being super strong and such. As for class, it's a bit more detailed. If there's a good pet class, I will probably choose that, if it's a hiring one, then I move on, after that, if there is a spear using class, I will pick that, if not, I move on, my final step is between sword and board, solo giant weapon, or unarmed fighting, if any of these are available, I will pick the one I think plays in an entertaining way. I rarely pick magic classes, because I prefer bring up in the action and being first into the fray, also I rarely find a magic class that's fun if it's not a summoner or necromancer, or any kind of mage that uses pets majorly.
