The "I need to choose my words carefully" is the final warning. If you've triggered the romance flags that'll appear and you can confirm it.

If you haven't triggered the romance flags; eg. If you don't tell Chihaya you're into older women, it won't appear and you're locked into friendship.

Personally I thought the story was pretty bad, but I enjoyed the gameplay. They definitely need to balance Social side with Dungeons better though, it takes like 4-5 in game days maximum to finish a palace once you know what you're doing and there's always 30 days of nothing happening after that.

Some of the Palaces were nicely designed, but some also stretched themselves thinly once you reached the end.

I also found it highly annoying that some palaces were just filled to the brim with overlevelled enemies because Atlus wanted you to sneak with frankly horrible controls. I don't understand why everything has to be X when nothing uses Square in the dungeons. So often I ambushed a shadow when I just wanted to get into cover quickly.

Getting the camera to point up or down takes forever. It's not all that necessary, but would've been useful occasionally.

The gameplay overall is okay, but there's no pay-off. I spend hours with social links, and what do I get? One scene in Hawaii, one scene for Christmas, and one for Valentine's day, all amounting to maybe one page of writing in total. At least the team members get new personas, which has a nice gameplay impact. But I find it very odd how many threads are being created purely on Persona waifus when they have so little character and so little writing in comparison to the pages upon pages consisting of pure filler.

People talked about that brown girl and that glasses girl from P3 all the time and they have such quick, boring SLinks. It's very odd.

They just needed to take up more days without forcefully ejecting you from them, or shorten deadlines so you're not spending hours upon hours with no story progress, remove some of the pointless filler and for the love of god add a feature to automatically skip entire cutscenes in NG+. At least let me never see the Poll or morning greetings again.

A skip animations button for battle would also be really nice too.

The game in general just needed to move along quicker.
At the same time there was a weird amount of railroading despite the long stretches of nothing present in the game, fucking Morgana telling me that I'm too tired to leave my room and make a coffee or something.

I enjoyed the game all in all but yeah it definitely needs some quality of life improvements.

Guess it's not so bad that I didn't have it then. When I blew through Mementos, I usually kept something with that SP regen skill (Invigorate?) around since you could easily finish off a lot of enemies in Mementos with regular attacks. Useful in Palaces too, but of course eats up a Persona switching action.
