it's Injustice 1 without the heavy-feeling, slow characters, better animations, bodies and the best faces in the history of gaming, a movie-worthy story mode, the most fun loot system in any game ever (since it's loot in a game that is actually fun to play, unlike MOBAS and FPS), and so many modes of play that it's unfathomable.

in Injustice 1 I enjoyed the meta (gauge) game and thought the fighting was OK, and loves the extras. this one fixes all the flaws the previous game had, and ups the ante compared to any fighter ever released. graphics, content, story... Tekken 7 looks like a last-gejn game compared to this. hell, Uncharted looks like a last gen game compared to the character models and faces in this.

I can't stand scrubs who complain about zoning in fighting games but I'm not sure what NRS were thinking when they were making deadshot. His recovery time is way too quick, getting in on him with certain characters is a nightmare. He's constantly building meter and chipping away at your health whilst knocking you back, trying to fight him with a character like Black canary or Bane is a nightmare.

It's almost certain they'll nerf him at this point, watching a deadshot fight is enough to put you to sleep it's that uninteresting to watch.

You literally make a bar as quickly as a good deadshot hit gets in, meaning you can easily get close to him multiple times in a match even if your hero has no other skills to get close. You can also spend 1 bar to gain armor while interacting with the scenario or charging the heavy attack now.

Those are the worst ones to use, because you could either do damage over time with the fire or create more knockback with the blue. If you combo into the bullets, and you are using the energy bar draining bullets, you are also giving them super meter with each non-bulelt hit. So you give them like 6 pips and then the bullets drain 4-5 pips. It isnt really doing much.

Supergirl is a known counter to all zoner. That doesn't make the game not broken for zoner characters. Characters with no tools to close in like Scarecrow or Cheetah are going to get wreck by Deadshot. Also the first few matches is 100% what is going to happen at Evo because it is the optimal way to play, then someone will counterpick with Superman/girl and then maybe we will have something entertaining. But for everyone else it will be deadshot vs X character and X character will most likely end uop getting wreck.

That's basically what I was doing. My other tactic was to hit into an environmental (ex: statues in Fortress of Solitude), Kick a few times to assure charge is built and keep him airborne, Level 3 cry.

I thought about just air juggling him against the background but I thought it would be pretty cheesy and decided not to stoop to his level. Also air combo breaks are a thing, even if most cheesers don't know how to do them.

Look, I'm not an expert, I don't pretend to know if he's perfectly balanced for the game or not, but there are plenty of ways to deal with him, every character I tried had something that could be used against him, in my opinion.

What would be your solution for Deadshot? Have a gunslinger character not be able to control range in the fighting game? Give him more melee options, since he's terrible at melee range, and nerf his ranged damage / speed, making him a rushdown character like many others, despite the fact his name is Deadshot?

I think Firestorm is 10 times worse than Deadshot, to be quite honest. Dr. Fate could be worse as well, but no one knows how to use him so far.

Also, you don't need meter to make Deadshot guess where he should defend next, just keep him guessing, bait attacks etc. I'll grant you that Deadshot is probably the easiest character to play right now, but he's far from invincible. Supergirl, Darkseid, Green Lantern, Superman etc in the hands of an average guy is much more stress inducing.

Worse up close, a character who has great ranged attack should not be also good up close ith easy get away options. Have his options have more recovery so he actually needs to commit to options and loses out more from guessing wrong. Not have very high chip damage

Options do require it though. Especially if you are playing well and managing your meter this means certain options are less available to you from using roll to get in, meanwhile he does not have that issue.

The gameplay, like most NRS games has balance problems, but I enjoy the ideas they put forward to improve the movement and combo breaking options available.
