This guy provides a nice service by translating old Japanese dev interviews. But he hasn't made an update since Feb. Nothing for March, April, or May. This wouldn't be a problem if he didn't have a patreon. He can work at his own pace or take breaks if he wants to. But with a patreon this is basically a "job". He's being paid for nothing. What gives?
With 1136 interviews, at a rate of 7 per month, it'd take him a whopping 13 years to get this done.
If him or Glitterberri, or whoever want to do this, so what? What's it to you? Learn Japanese so you can find a niche too if you're so jelly.
Why you gotta be so entitled anon?
why are japanese game fans so fucking gay
they're worse than anime fans

I'm just curious why he up and vanished for 3 months. He hasn't updated the site since Feb.
He's promising a certain amount of translations per month.

Might have had a major life event or some medical issues or something.
People can back out of being a patron whenever they please right? I don't see what the issue is.

What happens if someone on patreon just ups and dies?
Like, how would the patrons ever find out?

If no one explains it, then they could end up paying a guy money for months/years in the false hope he comes back when he might be dead.

I've got no idea, I haven't had to deal with anything besides a family members facebook page where we left a little note and locked it as a memorial.
If I was every paying for something on patreon and the person stopped delivering, I think I would stop paying when I noticed.

To have a patreon you probably need an EIN from the IRS like Kickstarter. To have an EIN you need a business. To have an active business you have to be alive.

Does that get updated every year? There might be a bit of lag between the death and getting the patreon shut down.

He has a twitter. Last post March 21st.
>Had to deal with some lifestuff these last two weeks, but going to try and get that lengthy Star Ocean: Blue Sphere interview out by Friday!

No one to blame but yourself if this happens
