Please announce something this year, Nintendo. The Animal Crossing thirst is real.

Switch version is not happening this year, it's already confirmed.
They'll probably announce something about the phone game over the Summer/Early Fall.
Why does thirst look misspelled there?

The AC team is pretty much divided into making Splatoon 2 and ARMS. It ain't happening this year.
Mobile announcement some time after E3, and then they tease the Switch version just like they did with FE Heroes+Switch.
The team has had lots of time to make new game so it should be out soonish, probably Q1 2018.
I've played Animal Crossing on the GC and New Leaf, I don't understand the point of getting a new one, especially when New Leaf is already portable. Nothing really changes in Animal Crossing, you're always doing the same things

You can basically say that about any game. What's the point in a new Uncharted or Pikmin for example?
>HD
>new mechanics
>new tools
>new villagers
>new shops
>more fish, bugs & fossils
There, I just made a checklist.

It'll have new content obviously

I'm just hoping the mobile version is an actual animal crossing game and not the abortion that is amiibo party.

In all likelihood there's an Animal Crossing game pretty far into the development process that got temporarily shelved due to the Wii U dying so quickly. You know the assets are there because they squirted out Amiibo Festival and that weird app for the Wii U.
I agree it's probably not going to be this year but it'll be closer than people expect.
