So /v/, do you think we'll get another one after the success of the new movie (first in a trilogy)? Pretty rough cliffhanger at the end of this one.Do you guys even like this game?
i would love to play alongside a vidya michael fassbender
>The best contribution to this series since Aliens was a fucking video game
I don't understand
>>377651562
Absolutely agreed. Ridley has gotten absolutely drunk with stupider and stupider lore. Should have left it to Giger.
First half was good, but it went downhill after getting the flamethrower. Would be better if it didnt exist and instead you could carry a few more molotovs. Wish the game mixed human enemies with the alien more often.
>>377651562
>aliens
>good
it turned an existential body horror flick into a mindless action movie.
>>377651807
agreed. i loved the human characters
>it's a QTE door opening simulator with some of the worst minigames ever created
I still haven't forgiven you faggots for memeing me into playing this shit.
>>377652025
kek. i liked the minigames, but mostly because i'm a big design fag

Using the alien to take them out was the most satisfying thing. His behavioue got very formulaic very quickly so having more things to think about while avoiding him could have made the game feel more varied. Would still probably be a bit too long though.
>>377651927
>mindless
>Ridley dealing with the turmoil of missing her daughter's entire life
>overcomes her literal nightmares to go and face the xenomorphs again, voluntarily
>becomes surrogate mother to that little urchin / survivor
>assumes the role of matriarch over a group of complete strangers, most of whom are warriors
>overcomes her fear and hatred of synthetics
>finds something of a soulmate in Hicks while she's at it
There's a lot going on in Aliens if you're not too braindead to see it, faget.
>>377651927
It was an action movie but it wasn't mindless, and it was a good one at that.
Do you think another game like Isolation but with The Thing could work?
>>377652797
God the addons were terrible.
>>377653082
A whodunit kind of game with The Thing would be neat. Either playing as a human trying to find the thing or as the thing trying to bump off all the humans without getting caught.
>>377653251
I made the mistake of buying them on sale a few days ago. I hate them so much, I didn't realize what I loved about the game was the story- I really don't like the game as an arcade survival challenge.
>>377651927
>All action movies are bad!
It was a very good Alien action movie. Just because it's an action movie, it shouldn't be shunned, aslong as its a good action move and a good Alien movie.
>>377653251
>>377653381
For a couple dollar DLCs they were fine, if for nothing else, then for bringing back the cast to do new audio together. Ripley especially put real effort into her voice acting
>>377653773
Should have clarified- I enjoyed the ones on the Nostromo, not the addons on the Sevastopol.
>>377653882
Nostromo just felt like a shitty retread and rewrite of the original, absolute garbage.
>>377651108
best review for the game. The only good review that GT did.

>>377651108
It's alright but it overstayed its welcome. Android segments get boring after the first couple of encounters with them. The game feels tedious towards the second half of it.
Nice visuals though.
>>377654502
The original... movie? I mean, it was a totally different experience. Suddenly you WERE Ellen ripley, which was pretty darn fun, I thought.
>the new movie (first in a trilogy)
It's a sequel to Prometheus what are you talking about
>>377651108
Covenant wasnt good.
>>377655721
There will be two more after Covenant, Prometheus functions as a prequel to this new trilogy
>>377656065
It was fun but the soul is long gone from this franchise. At least we have Fassbender.
loved game, but sick of the alien.
Make game with different kinds of aliens with different strengths and weaknesses to mix up the game-play.
>>377651108
Should I get this game, or RE7?
>>377651927
Typical /vr/ autist everybody!
>>377656892
This one if you like good games. RE7 if you like jump scares.
>>377656729
>the soul is long gone from this franchise
I don't know why it is a franchise. Alien was good, Aliens was good. That was 30 years ago. Fincher did what he could with Alien 3 but it's not very good. Yet here they are still trying to make new movies
>>377657026
a pathetic, mistreated, disfigured cash cow
>>377651108
>Pretty rough cliffhanger at the end of this one.
No it wasn't. Watch the movies. Amanda survived and died later.
>>377657425
>Amanda survived and died later.
Yup, In the movies she dies of old age offscreen
>>377657425
>>377657714
there's room for another game
Can I create anything in Alien games?
Any thoughts or insight on if we will get another?
I liked Covenant. You cunts think too much.
>>377651108
>success
>>377660924
Financial, at least- it's a popular movie
Game was good, good atmosphere, and i quite enjoyed it. However the game was too long, it dragged on and on and i just wished for it to end.
>tfw you navigated through those xenomorph infested places with facehuggers and the likes
>xenomorphs in space
>>377660950
Nope
