The Definitive Edition is 60fps, has lock-on, turbo mode, fixes color-coded enemies, has an option to make style points harder to get, and includes all DLC. Also, it removes Vergil's fedora.

The only bad thing left is the writing/entire Kat character.

The combos are weightless, sound effects are trash, weapons are mediocre, lack of a taunt button, Vergil plays like trash, Dante isn't fun to play either, since they were too retarded to figure out how to properly grapple and split it and dodge into two seperate buttons taking up unnecessary space, also while the enemies aren't fun to fight, the biggest offender is there isn't a single decent boss in the game. You can polish shit but at the end of the day it's still shit.

Shitter. The teleporting and buzzsaw enemies are very fun, and both appear as minibosses.

Mundus's Spawn is a great boss. I do admit that the Succubus and Mundus fights are way too scripted and unfun.

Still better than DMC2.

OP here, played 2 for about 10 minutes w/ dante and I can say I already hate it. The combat is really easy and lifeless not to mention the sound effects make my ears bleed. Thanks for the advice

No, that's pretty much the consensus. DmC is a bad Devil May Cry game but DMC2 is just so straight up boring on every conceivable level it's almost unplayable.
