I loved Divinity 2 (action rpg) but I hated Divinity OS (turn based strategy). I'm a bit tepid about Divine Divinity (diablo). Dragon Commander (RTS) was also not fun. The only good thing that it had going for it was the little choices you can make, the actual gameplay parts were terrible.

All the games play differently and I literally don't care enough about the Divinity lore to play a style of game I actively dislike. This is especially true for a game that takes place before Divinity 2.

combining dual wield with invisibility and float, haste, the summon bomb and you destroy most things with ease

It seems like a solid game, but I'm not sure if I want to drop 20 bucks on it when I have too little time to enjoy a large RPG at the moment. And there is a good chance it will go on sale for 75% at some point in the future.

It's not any more strategical than any classic crpg, where the "strategy" comes from planning builds and party setup. The gameplay itself is highly tactical though, with higher amount of tactical depth than any of the classic crpgs.
