I think the part that upsets me the most is the early previews of the game compared to the final product, both in terms of quality and the direction the story appeared to be going. When they scrapped half the team 6 months before release and basically started over, the game was doomed.

I recall watching that postmortem on Portal 2 and how they they added two or three fake "game over" ending but they had to take them out because testers thought they actually finished the game legit when they died and a giant GAME OVER message appeared on screen. The actual ending was in fact one of those, you could actually see the moon in some parts and shoot a portal at it only to get sucked out/blown out to space.

Some other infuriating bullshit in there too, the game might have been way better if they stuck to their original plan of using a different mechanics but since portal got so god damn famous the entire studio apparently wanted to be part of a new "true" portal, guess that looks great on their resumes huh.

Did you play ME1? Cerberus were complete cunts in that, too. They are behind the massacre at Akuze, they captured Alliance marines to do experiments on, they tortured and killed Admiral Kahoku.
