No. I love Bloodborne and I preordered the Maria one instantly, but WHY would you spend that much on the dude on the cover? He isn't what 90% of the player's characters look like. He isn't relevant he's just there to sell copies to dudebros. His design isn't even cool he has arguably one of the lamest costume sets in the game. It pisses me off that he is getting a figma, a statue by Gecco, and a statue by Prime 1 all before actual characters.

Artorias was done by a completely different company. The process for Prime 1 is that they take the character models as a basis and then manipulate it from there, but a lot of this comes down to digital sculpting. Also, they can't 3D print this stuff in mass production. It would take way too long and be way too expensive. They do the classic mold, mass produce, factory workers hand paint them process. This stuff is expensive because it requires a near global presence to do it between shipping, sculpting, painting, etc.. Also the materials for making this stuff and the materials for labor have consistently went up in price over the last decade. That's why EVERY company that makes statues charges more.

There was a time where you could get Figma for twenty bucks. Now they are often fifty to sixty. The price of producing these things has increased. That's why rereleases of products still end up charging more. The same figure from ten years ago would cost probably a good 20% more to make today.
