When my team has picked characters like Sombra, Pharah, Junkrat, Tracer so I can't pick them and I can't get past the enemy team on my own to destroy the shield generator and turrets then yes I'll blame the team since they aren't using those characters to take them out.

This doesn't bother me that much actually, it'd be better for Rein to protect the rest of the team than Bastion, especially since the sentry mode can't drop shit immediately with headshots any more. Most you can do is suppressive fire or surprise bast since a number of people are still scared of Bastion for some reason.

I see it happen a lot on chokes like Eichenwalde, our Rein stands there at the choke, Bastion sets up behind the shield, as soon as he does then Rein moves off to the side to check the other entrance and Bastion gets destroyed or has to run.
